In 1982, Sir Peter Michael and Lady Michael purchased 630 acres of volcanic ridges on the western face of Mount St. Helena in Sonoma County’s Knights Valley - inspired to craft terroir-driven, single-vineyard wines, sourced from sustainably farmed vineyards in Sonoma and Napa. Today, second-generation Paul Michael and his wife, Emily, continue the family vision, upholding the founding principles while remaining stewards of the land, spanning nearly 1,200 acres with only 201 acres under vine. The remainder is left as wildlife corridors.
