Madison County Distillery is an artisan distillery located on the scenic and historic 90-acre Maples Farm in Cazenovia, NY. Our distinguished craft distillery was founded by Retired Air Force Lieutenant General Michael J. Basla and backed by a group of retired generals and colonels who have led our great nation. This award-winning enterprise is proudly veteran-owned and operated by family and friends. Our distillery embraces a grain-to-glass approach, crafting exceptional spirits with unparalleled dedication to quality. Our Stone Quarry Vodka and Generals Gin have both won silver medals in international spirit competition. Our barrel-aged Route 20 Rum is a customer favorite that has been compared to the best tasting bourbon whiskeys. Within the next quarter our first barrel of First Salute white-oak aged wheat bourbon will be released. All our products are made with world-class equipment using Marcellus Shale Spring water from the farm and carefully selected grains and botanicals. Our rustic tasting room is complimented by an award-winning kitchen featuring multi-generational family recipes.
