Title: Director, Wholesale Sales
Reports to: CEO
Status: Full Time / Exempt
Location:
Hybrid: Middlebury, Vermont 3 days/week. Remote available for the right candidate. Role requires travel
up to 25% of the time.
Position Summary:
We are looking for an experienced sales executive to lead our Wholesale sales organization and scale
the Bee’s Wrap business to the next level. The right candidate will create and execute our sales strategy,
leading a team of direct reports and partners/brokers contracted to support our sales needs and goals.
The right candidate will be an enthusiastic and relentless leader that is equal parts scrappy and strategic,
who brings the experience and relationships to ‘level up’ our Wholesale business.
This is an exciting time for Wholesale at Bee’s Wrap. Total sales have grown more than 20% / year for
the past two years, largely driven by eCommerce. Our Wholesale business is still developing with
significant upside. We have a solid foundation from which to build (new Target distribution, growth in
the Natural Food channel), yet are underdeveloped in many significant areas, especially Natural Grocery
and Independent Specialty. The right candidate will continue to define our strategy, organize the
resources to secure lasting distribution wins and drive our Wholesale business to strong growth.

Responsibilities:
- Develops, owns and is accountable for the Wholesale sales plan including:
- Channel and customer priority
- Key strategies and programs to activate target wholesale customers
- Prepares forecasts and KPI reporting for the leadership team, our board, and the company overall (for use in financial planning and forecasting, budget setting and operational/inventory planning)
- ”Player-Coach” leader - lead the team to execute against the Wholesale priorities and goals while personally managing the relationship and business with our highest priority, most strategic customers
- Key member of the Management Team (which is responsible for developing & executing the annual plan and is the key decision-making body in the business)
- Work collaboratively across teams including Finance, Marketing, Operations and eCommerce
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant sales experience including directly managing key accounts, leading forecasting + supply and trade planning for those accounts, leading a team of (internal or external) sales professionals
- Direct experience managing the relationship with a broad variety of customers and channels including small independent gift and kitchen stores, natural grocery stores, mass specialty stores like Target, chain specialty like Williams Sonoma and off-price like TJX
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with an ability to use data to back up recommendations and drive actions
- Proven record of defining sales goals and meeting them
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel is mandatory
